Tibetans, Britishers remember suffering Tibet on Human Rights Day

The international human rights day was marked here today with Christian and Buddhist prayers and laying of wreath at the Memorial for Victims of Torture at Westminster Abbey, in memory of Tibetans who have died and are suffering as a result of China’s occupation of Tibet.

Canada Groups Want Wen Pressed on Issues

As Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in Canada Wednesday – International Human Rights Day – groups supporting Tibetan and Taiwanese democracy and improved human rights urged Canada’s incoming leader to press their concerns.

Indian Lawyers Meeting on Tibet held in Delhi

India Tibet Coordination Office today organized an Indian Lawyers Meeting on Tibet at Patiala Court Conference Hall in New Delhi. Mr. J.P. Sharma (Adv.), Convener Delhi Region welcomed all the lawyers present in the meeting and introduced Dr. Trikha, National Convener of Indian Core Group for Tibetan Cause.

Tibetans, Indians, celebrate 89’s Nobel Glory

The hill-town head quarters of the exile Tibetan government today swayed in joy amid a chorus of Indian and Tibetan traditional music as the celebrations to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the conferment of Nobel Peace Prize on His Holiness the Dalai Lama opened here.
