DHARAMSHALA, April 15: The widely circulated video of the Dalai Lama’s interaction with a young Indian boy at a public event is rigorously and maliciously tailored, tempered and edited for over a month by pro Chinese-sponsored cyber army, writes Lobsang Yeshi, a former Tibetan Parliamentarian, adding, “it was yet another vicious Chinese conspiracy to tarnish the impeccable image of the world’s most popular peace Icon.”

According to the report, a fake Twitter account, ‘Yin Sun@NiSiv4’, uploaded the video on April 8th, purportedly showing the Tibetan spiritual leader kissing the young Indian boy and asking him to suck his tongue at a public event. The same twitter account on April 10 tweeted, “the world decided after watching the video… I think most people will agree with me that his xxxx has weird customs… I ruined his reputation forever.”

The similar video was later posted on a fake Youtube account in the name of Robert Reed as well as on a fake Facebook account in the name of ‘Deter Influencers from Child Abuse’ along with a petition titled, “Save kids from Dalai Lama- let’s stop child abuse” on the renowned public forum, change.org on April 7, the report further stated.

The ‘viral’ video clip was later extensively circulated in Chinese social media by CCP Government agencies and then fed to some of the popular Indian mainstream news where almost every Indian media house circulated the tailored video without any fact-checking and verification thus, ‘breaching every code of ethic for journalism,’ remarked the former Tibetan Parliamentarian.

Following the frenzied use of the cropped video by every national and international media group, the executive head of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), Sikyong Penpa Tsering at a press event at Foreign Correspondents’ Club of South Asia in Delhi Thursday stated that the primary instigators are pro-Chinese forces. The former President of the CTA, Dr. Lobsang Sangay who made a special appearance on NDTV’s India Global segment on Friday urged the Indian news media company to be sensitive when covering any news on His Holiness the Dalai Lama and that it has hurt the sentiments of Tibetans and Buddhists around the world.

  1. One thing I don’t understand why no one are doing anything about that Twitter account Yin Sun@NiSiv4 who is the root cause of everything 🤔. He is still running that defamation video. People protesting everywhere but nobody did anything to that Twitter account who first spread the news.

  2. There’s big protest before COVID and now a other big protest after COVID saga is concluded. No big deal. All is emptiness based on Buddhism. So nothing really matters in the end. It is a brief mass psychosis, like a flash mob, but it will subside like all other news items we encounter every week.

Dalai lama is not bothered about drama or dance tournament. His Holiness is above human activities and thoughts.

    1. Emptiness does not mean nothingness, it simply means things are not independent of itself thereby empty of independence thus dependent upon each another. So, actually everything matters since there is no end nor beginning.

  3. Thank you for reporting this investigation! This are the basic questions one needs to ask when all the media-frenzy was going on. Who was the 1st person/media outlet who created or shared it? Why did they do it? What was their goal and what is the outcome they wanted with that? And as a tibetan who has deep unwavered faith in his holiness, instead of responding and creating more frenzy, we simply has to ask the person posting 1 minute videos on social media claiming to expose His Holiness, to investigate what type of person His Holiness is, what was his dedication towards social engagements and commitments to global responsinbility, what did His Holiness contribute in terms of religious harmony? And if that person has done even a 1% of what His Holiness has contributed, then he can go and complain. Otherwise these so called social media influencers or media outlets who are simply spreading the buzz (to enjoy 1 minute of lime light as a gauge of moral authority) are just influencers without backbone, without morality, without even the basic common sense to really ask simple questions and perhaps are influencers of people just like them. I personally haven’t followed the frenzy as i don’t use these accounts but i have seen the video already circulating within the tibetan like few weeks before that. So my question is, has someone try to spread the samething with the same goal in our community but didn’t get the response needed? In anyways, in my opinion, people’s reaction to His Holiness is normal and to be expected as we live in a very fragile ‘touch me not’ world where everything is taken at a face value and everyone is ready to point finger at others. This fast-moving society doesn’t have to time to think or to laugh, to relax or to love and just be human, we only have condensed energy to react more likely negetively to events. Its a question that we have to ask ourselves if we really care about others? Do we really care about anything at all? If we do, then we will have a more balanced outlook. I personally feel so lucky and honored to be a follower of his holiness, his wisdom, grace and compassion. As his holiness has mentionned many a times, he sees himself as a simple human being, he sees others as his human brothers and sisters, with all his knowledge, wisdom and all his contribution and achievements, he connects with others through so much love, laughter and pure compassion without any judgement of the background, race, caste, age, social status etc. Can we seriously judge someone who is that immaculate in his actions, who walks the talk and who is so transparent? To resume about that video, we can clearly see his holiness doesn’t even have an ounce of ill intention, he just wants to spread joy and laugh with his banter and be just present with the audiance and if people think otherwise, i would like to invite to them to watch the whole video, spent some time with His Holiness, peace of mind garanteed!

  4. The real paedophile is believed to be Mao the founding father of the CCP! It is said, he danced with a 13 year old school girl in the day time and sexually abused her at night! There are other under aged girls he had abused as well. The CCP’s mischief to dehumanise the Dalai Lama shows the desperation this illegitimate bunch of neo-colonist despots are stooping to save themselves. Experts believe the Chinese economy has no chance to recover to the level it had been before. People in China are seeing a gloomy outlook in their lives and are getting more and more angry with the satanic CCP. A woman cries in desperation. I have nothing to eat and have no place to sleep but the CCP has no concern for me. Where is the CCP, she screams! The coffers of the CCP are fast draining and in order to distract the people, it uses such tactics to fool the people. The anti- people CCP will fall. It will not show it because it hides all its failures and weaknesses but one day, like a bolt from the blue, it will collapse! What this shocking incident has taught the Tibetans is NEVER TRUST THE CCP! Our leaders have fooled themselves by hoping that the CCP will somehow show leniency if the Tibetans are compliant. This is now proven to be WRONG with the present diabolical action of the CCP to TRASH the Dalai Lama’s reputation and his international standing! Leopards don’t change their spot and that applies to the evil CCP. It will NEVER CHANGE ITS WAYS! GET THIS IN YOUR MIND FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF WORKING FOR TIBET! We must chart OUR OWN POLICY without considering the sensitivities of the CCP. Learn from the Indian policy of appeasing the CCP. THEY GAVE UP ON TIBET EXACTLY LIKE WHAT THEY ARE DOING WITH UKRAIN! They supported the aggressor instead of the victim. They turned a blind eye on the forcible occupation of Tibet to save their own skin. All the while grovelling to the CCP by constantly parroting the mantra, “Tibet is part of China”!!! As a young kid, I used to get very disheartened whenever Sardar Swaran Singh, the External Minister under PM Indra Gandhi peddled the same mantra over and over again. In those days, China was going berserk with subjugation of the Tibetan people behind the Himalayas. India never voiced any concern to the unimaginable atrocities in Tibet for fear of angering the Chinese communists! After Tibet has been crushed under the boot of the occupying PLA forces in Tibet, China made the claim openly in 2014 that Arunachal is part of Tibet and therefore “belongs” to them!!! India hasn’t got the guts to say, TIBET CEDED TAWANG AREA TO BRITISH INDIA AND SIMLA CONVENTION STANDS AS A TESTIMONY TO TIBET’S SOVEREIGNTY OVER ITS TERRITORY! India seems to give more credence to Chinese glib talk that Tibet signed the Simla Convention ceding Tawang to British India “without China’s agreement” than the actual document that lies in some archives either in London or Delhi!!! It acts like a coward who has no confidence in himself! The Chinese are claiming that they have “historical evidence” to prove Tawang as part of Tibet to give credence to their claim. WHY CANT INDIA CLAIM THE SAME BY SAYING WE GOT INCONTROVERTIBLE DOCUMENT AND HISTORICAL EVIDENCE TO PROVE THAT INDEPENDENT TIBET CEDED TAWANG TO BRITISH INDIA AT THE SIMLA CONVENTION OF 1913-14!!! BESIDES HISTORICALLY, THERE WAS NO INDIA-CHINA BORDER BEFORE 1950? IT WAS HISTORICALLY INDO-TIBET BORDER! It’s a historical FACT NO ONE DENY!
Just as India’s policy of appeasement has only back fired and achieved nothing in six decades, the Tibetan policy of appeasement will come to nothing either. India has belatedly realised albeit haltingly, that it should no longer peddle the same mantra to placate the Chinese. Tibetans must also put an end to the delusional dream of co-existence with China. The Indian leaders were given to understand that China was a “friend of India” and that there will be great rejuvenation of Asia with the most populous nations standing tall together were the rhetoric the deceitful Chinese used to fool Indian leaders and the Indians bought it. Now, we find out it was all a hoax! The Tibetans were given the same assurances in 1951 of “fraternal friendship” between the Chinese and Tibetans! We know it was all hoax and didn’t mean a word of what they said!
The notion that we have to talk to China to settle the issue of Tibet is NOT TRUE! Taiwan and communist China are not talking but the Taiwanese are being bestowed sovereignty by many powerful and less powerful nations. It is emerging as an independent nation with international recognition! There is also international mediation to deal with warring nations. The CTA leaders must not peddle untruth to gain support for their agenda. The whole of Tibet’s three provinces are occupied country under established principles of international law. THEREFORE, ONLY AN INDEPENDENT TIBET WILL BRING NATIONAL SECURITY, RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, HUMAN RIGHTS, LINGUISTIC AND CULTURAL RIGHTS AND PROTECT TIBET’S DISTINCT IDENTITY. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE UNDER CCP COLONIAL RULE!

    1. The writer has touched the core of issues, successive Indian Governments have towed the Chinese Govt. line to appease them may be out of their own compulsions prevailing then. Gone is gone and past is now a history and facts can’t be hidden for so long however, present and future is in our own hands with the India emerging as a superpower under Modi ji we should take a tough stand against China and never ever believe in their rhetoric which we have experienced in the past. Time has now come to declare Tibet as an independent country and bestow well deserved Bharat Ratna to HH. Once Tibet is declared as an Independent country automatically, Sino-Indian border would be known as Indo-Tibet border which should have been done long back as is well said better late than never.
