DHARAMSHALA, June 12: The exiled Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama reiterated his advocacy for female leadership in the global political hierarchies for a more peaceful and “less violent” world. He was speaking in an online interview with Indian television channel NDTV on Friday.

The Buddhist leader said, “(If) World leaders eventually… more women, I think… less problem, less sort of… violence I feel. Physically, female (have) more sense of concern over others difficulty.” The Dalai Lama said that his own mother who was a kind hearted individual was his “first guru of karuna (compassion)” taught him to be kind and considerate of others suffering and feelings.

The octogenarian leader went on it add that historically, most of the heroes who have conquered and killed many people are male and not female and that, scientifically women are more adept to providing nourishment and loving kindness to others.

Incidentally, two nations which have best handled the Covid-19 crisis include New Zealand and Taiwan, both of which are led by female leaders. Despite being very close to China, Taiwan led by Presiden Tsai Ingwen had only 7 deaths and 443 cases, of which 431 have recovered. New Zealand led by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern declared that it will be lifting all restrictions in the country after zero cases in the country recently. The country had 1154 cases, of which all but 22 who died, have recovered.

The Tibetan spiritual leader regarded as a symbol of peace and reconciliation worldwide also advised people around the world undergoing loss of loved ones and loneliness during the Covid-19 lockdown to view their problems from a wider perspective in order to see things in a more holistic way.

  1. Firstly Long Live 🌈His Holiness The Dalai Lama 🌈. May all your 🧚‍♀️wishes🧚‍♀️ come True🌤.

Secondly I believe Woman 👩 in Powerful Positions have a more🦋 Positive ✌️Atmosphere in all Walks of Life. Although there could be a small Percentage of Women getting 😱unfortunately influenced by War Mongering Self interest Driven Men . However either we could convince such Woman on the path of Righteousness on the basis of Compassion, Loving , Kindness or remove them From such Powerfull Role’s through Democratic Elections should they not change . It’s time for A Positive Change. My Conscious Humble Mind says – Woman 👩 Leaders are the one we should select for the Future🙏🌈✌️🦋🐬🌼 of Our Blue 🌍 Planet and all Sentient Beings living in it 🙏🧘‍♂️🌈

  2. Angela Merkel, over the years, has made sure that Germany prospered often at the expense of the smaller European countries, they have taken the lions share. Recently Kim Jong Un ‘s sister came out with vile rhetoric calling defectors human scum and now threatens South Korea with war. Women , are perhaps, less lightly to be drawn into mass corruption. Having said that, the kingpin of elephant slaughter and the ivory trade in Africa was a Chinese woman

  3. Adruk, just like men, there are different type of women. Women who have been socialized to think that the path to success is by mimicking predominantly male behaviors are likely to have similar war-monging tendencies, perhaps even more so to show a sense of “belonging” and “can-do” in a primarily male dominated environment. There is a societal aspect of that, as well as a generational thing. Hillary Clinton supported the Iraq war based on faulty intelligence reports. Most power hungry war mongers have a psychological need for acceptance and their own sense of insecurity. In most populations, there is a tendency to generalize and stereotype, but keep in mind that individually there are those who are different than the rest of similar type of people. But that also requires a slight better understanding than what is gleaned from social media and other forms of superficial interactions.

  4. His Holiness advocacy for female leadership for more peace in the global violent world is not true. Magaret Thatcher, the Iron Lady of England, was Prime Minister of British in between 1970s-1980s and declared a war against Argintina on Falkland Island that killed thousands of people on both sides.
The Prime Minister of India, Indra Gandhi in 1971 wedged a war against Pakistan on East Pakistan liberation which named Bangla Desh today that killed millions of people and many more millions have fled the country.
Without a war there is peace and without a sacrifice there is no freedom.

    1. The Falkland war deaths combined was less than a thousand. Btw, Argentina invaded British territory so the iron lady had to react. The incident happened over a 2 month period, the rest of the 11 yrs of Thatcher rule was relatively peaceful and quite prosperous.

  5. It probably helps if they are beautiful, immaculately coiffed, not overweight and can toe the establishment line as well instead of being outspoken? Women are 50% of the population and have been relegated to secondary roles in positions of power by the actions of a few insecure feckless men. The women they prefer to prop up are window-dressing doormats instead who do as their bid and call. So a self selection of such women rising to the middle and floating to the top has been a real problem over the last few centuries. This type of selection is not just limited to spheres of religion and politics either. Just look at the types that are telecasted to be Bond girls.
