ITANAGAR: The 69th birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama was celebrated at Siddharth Vihar in Itanagar on Sunday with traditional gaiety and festivity.
The day-long programme started with unfurling of a “prayer flag”, mass prayer and lighting of lamps at Itanagar Buddhist Cultural Society.
Trees were also planted to mark the occasion.
