Students for a Free Tibet will host a fundraising party — “Tibet Will Be Free” — on Sunday at the Indian Walk-In Center, 120 W. 1300 South, Salt Lake City.

The group, made up of Tibetan youths and their non-Tibetan supporters, earlier this year took part in protests against China and China’s crackdown on demonstrators in Tibet prior to the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing. The campaigns have contributed to the group’s financial debt, according to longtime Salt Lake Tibetan activist Pema Chagzoetsang.

The fundraising party begins at 5 p.m. and will include Tibetan music, dance and food. The $15 entrance fee includes dinner. For more information, e-mail sftutahchapter@yahoo.com.
