48th Tibetan Uprising day commemorated at Mavana

March 10 – Antarashtrya Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Samiti headed by Shri K.B.Bakshi who is also the National Co-Convener of the Core Group for Tibetan Cause, organised a seminar at Laxmi Devi Arya Women’s College at Mavana (30 Km away from Meerut city)

More than 100 people comprising of college students and local eminent persons attended the function.

Dr Anand Kumar, National Co-Convener of Core Group for Tibetan Cause was the chief guest and Miss Youdon Aukatsang, Member of Tibetan Parliament chaired the function.

Other eminent speakers are Dr D.K. Pal Co-Convener of Western Uttar Pradesh, Dr S.P. Rastogi, Dr. Shakti Sahni, Shri Narender Kumar Rastogi and Shri K.C.Gautam.

”When our leaders are not concern about Security of India, its our duty especially the youth to think and work for India’s security which will be fulfilled only after Tibet’s independence” said Dr Anand Kumar.

Dr Anand appreciated Shri Lal Kishan Advani for his authentic support shown towards Tibetan during Hu’s India visit.

Miss Youdon la expressed her gratitude towards the steady and selfless support from Indian friends for Tibetan Cause. Miss Youdon dwelt in length on why should India stand up for Tibet?

Dr D.K. Pal read out His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 10 March statement and gave his valedictory speech.

ITCO staff distributed Hindi version of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 10 March statement amongst the students. Students were very enthusiastic and keen to have learn more about Tibet, they have also shown solidarity for Tibetan Cause.
