Tibet, a country unknown and forbidden from the rest of the world still suffers immensely under the brutal occupation of China. Some know about it but many doesn’t.
Friends of Tibet (Delhi) is bringing to you a ‘Rock In Exile’ concert in your city on 7th February. India’s biggest Rock band ‘Parikrama’ and ‘JJI Exile Brothers’, a Tibetan Fusion Rock Band will perform together at North Campus, Delhi University at 2.30pm sharp. The two Rock Bands will do a free performance in support of Free Tibet.
The concert highlights on creating awareness among the Indian friends about Tibet. And music being a universal language, this Rock concert more specifically aims at spreading the miserable and deprived conditions of Tibetans inside Tibet and its strruggle for freedom from China. These two bands will together bring forward the voices of many Tibetans in exile.
Besides this rock show, Tenzin Tsundue, a Tibetan poet, activist and the General Secretary of Friends of Tibet (FOT) will do a presentation on Issue of Tibet. There will also be a power point presentation of 105 historical and rare photos of Tibet called ‘Tibet 50 Years’.
Friends of Tibet (FOT), a youth based support group for Tibet being run by Indian college students from the various colleges in Delhi, this concert has been put together with money contributed by Indian members of Friends of Tibet, Mumbai, Ambernath, Cochin and Kottayam, and also by Indo-Tibet Coordination Office (ITCO).
There will be information stalls distributing leaflets, stickers and books on Tibet. No entry fees needed. Come freely and relish the music of Rock in Exile.
People are encouraged to join this day and help Tibetans to reach their voice to as many people as one can and spread the dismal story of Tibet.
