New Delhi, September-12- The Tibet issue is being discussed worldwide and today we see lots of nations supporting our cause despite the various adversities they face in doing so. Yet, another strong support has come from France. They have come up with a Frenchspeaking newspaper on Tibetan issue called “Alternative tibetaine” (TIBETAN ALTERNATIVE) which is an annual publication. The newspaper comprises of 32 pages of analysis, reflection and forum and is only published in French.
This newspaper ‘Alternative tibetaine’ (Tibetan Alternative)is devoted to introduce and promote the Tibetan political thinking in its plurality and particularly the expression of its national identity. Their aim is to restore the power of speech to the Tibetan people, especially to the supporters of independence.
Though the newapaper does not call itself to involve in the fight of our independence but it promotes free expression of ones thought and to facilitate its analysis. Any author can get its own convictions and express himself through this newspaper.
Alternative Tibetaine Edition is a non-profit organization which includes former and present Free Tibet activists, including journalists and jurists but they are not a Tibet Support Group (TSG). They came up with their first edition this year and in 2007, a quarterly news bulletin will also be published which will complete the annual newspaper (subscription).
Accordingly, this publication is addressed to all the Tibetans as well as to non-Tibetan people, to the activists, to simple watchers and people who are curious or more viscerly inspired to better understand the Tibetan issue and its complexities. And to see next day, Tibet’s issue not to be one anymore.
Over all, the newspaper gives a platform or a forum for anyone who is aware of the Tibetan issue to discuss and express their voices.
