Tibet manch’s conference

Dharamsala, August 15 – Bharat Tibet Sahyog Manch will organise a three-day conference from September 5 in Chandigarh to discuss various issues relating to Tibet and Sino-Indian relations with particular reference to the joint declaration after the recent visit of the Prime Minister Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee, to China.

Giving details, the national convener of the manch, Dr Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri, said the conference would be attended amongst others by the chief kalon of the Tibetan Government in exile, Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, former Lok Sabha Speaker Mr Rabi Ray, former Chief Ministers Mr Prakash Singh Badal (Punjab), Mr Hoshiar Chand Koshiari (Uttaranchal) and Mr Prem Kumar Dhumal (H.P.), Dr Nirmala Deshpande and a number of MPs who support the cause of Tibet.

Dr Agnihotri said that the manch had written a letter to the Union Foreign Minister asking certain clarifications on the definition of the Tibet Autonomous Region.
