Rajpur boys win the Pawo Thupten Ngodup memorial Cup

Dharamsala – The Uma Club of Rajpur Regional Tibetan Youth Congress won the Pawo Thupten Ngodup memorial cricket tournament on 11th May. The Regional Tibetan Youth Congress of Shimla organized the event.

This is the second consecutive year for the Rajpur team to win the tournament. The growing popularity of the fairly unconventional game for the Tibetans is evident with more teams participating in the event every year. This year, ten teams from various Tibetan settlements in India took part in it.

The tournament held in memory of Late Pawo Thupten Ngodup lasted from May 4th to May 11th. The final match was played between the defending champion Uma Club of Rajpur and Central School for Tibetans, Shimla.

The wining Team bagged cash prize and certificates.
