Dalai Lama to pay 11-day visit to Arunachal

ITANAGAR – The Dalai Lama will tour the state’s Buddhist-dominated districts of West Kameng and Tawang during a 11-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh on April 29.

During his stay, the Buddhist holy spiritual leader would consecrate the site for establishment of the Central Institute of Himalayan Cultural studies at Dahung in West Kameng which would be the fourth of its kind in the country, an official release said.

The other three are located at Sarnath, Ladakh and Nalanda.

He would also participate in the consecration ceremony of statues inside the main prayer hall of Gaden Rabgyahling monastery.
