A three days workshop on Waste Management and Recycling began today in Mcloed Gunj. The workshop was conducted jointly by the Department of Home (CTA) and Tibetan Welfare Office Dharamsala. Thirteen participants from various Tibetan settlements in India are taking part in the Workshop.
The three days workshop aims to provide the participants with a sound grounding on environmental issues and also impart basic skills in paper recycling and book binding. The exemplary work done by the Tibetan Welfare office through the years in keeping the upper Dharamsala clean and green has enabled the office to provide the much needed human resource in this field. The experts to share the knowledge are the Tibetan staff who have worked in the various projects initiated by the office and established itself as a vanguard of a clean Environment in this locality.
