Candle Light vigil March 17, 2012
Exile Tibetans and supporters in Dharamshala, north India, hold a candle light vigil in solidarity with the recent self-immolations in Ngaba and Rebkong, Tibet. Since 2009, 30 Tibetans have set their bodies on fire demanding the return of His Holiness the Dalai Lama from exile and freedom in Tibet. Thousands protest in Rebkong, Sonam Dhargey cremated
Details are finally emerging on the self-immolation protest that took place in Rebkong, eastern Tibet earlier today. The 30th Tibetan to set his body on fire has been identified as Sonam Dhargey, a 44-year-old farmer.

In more disturbing news coming out of Tibet, another Tibetan set himself on fire earlier today in the Rebkong region of eastern Tibet. The person, identified as a student, self-immolated at around 9:30 am local time in an apparent protest against the Chinese regime.
