Tibetan Freedom March continues in South India

Tibetan Buddhist monks, nuns and youths brave downpour in one of South Indian towns in their march to raise awareness among Indian people about the independence of Tibet and to press for Tibet’s freedom. Some 150 Tibetans from 9 different Tibetan-inhabited regions of Dharamsala, Bylakuppee, Hunsur, Mundgod, Bhandara, Mainpat, Delhi, Darjeeling and Bangalore are taking part in the march. The marchers, led by the Tibetan Youth Congress, began the 365km march from Bangalore on December 10, 2007, and will pass through Chittor, Palamner, Ranipet, Vellore and Kanchipuram before expected to end it on December 31, 2007, in Chennai.
