Panipat, December 28 – Prime Minister of Tibet government in exile Samdong Ripoche has said that Tibet was ready to accept the sovereignity of China if the Chinese government willing to recognise Tibet as an autonomous state on the pattern of Hongkong.
“There are no political or cultural differences between the people of Tibet and China. The United States of America has misled the world by propagating that there is a situation of struggle in Tibet”, Ripoche said at a function here last evening.
He said that even the Dalai Lama had also announced that if China proves herself as an able administrator, Tibet will accept its sovereignity.
Ripoche pointed out that Tibet has remained as an independent country before its occupation by China and India was forced to spend crores of rupees to strengthen security measures along the Indo-China border.
