Tibetan Culture highlighted in the International Music Festival in Spain

More than a thousand people stood up with tears in their eyes paid respect to the Tibetan National Anthem. International Music festival was held in Tortosa, Spain on 8th, 9th and 10th of September where many Countries like France, Germany, The Netherlands, Brazil, Spain and many more participated but it was mainly highlighted on the Tibetan Art and Culture. Organized by the TIBET HOUSE FOUNDATION, the monks from Gaden Ngari Khangtsen constructed a Chenresik Sand Mandala for 10 days and performed Buddhist Chanting which was followed by internationally renowned Musician Nawang Khechog.

The Plaza outside the Town Hall in Tortosa was overwhelmed with people waiting eagerly to see Tibetan Art and who after hearing Nawang Khechog´s Music could not stop clapping their hands. Ven Thubten Wangchen spoke about Tibetan Art and Culture and about preserving this old and valuable culture which would only bring Peace to the people of this world and was highly appreciated by the people with a huge applause. The Concert came to an end with people paying their respect to the Tibetan National Anthem with tears in their eyes.

A conference was organized on Tibet Issue during which Ven Thubten Wangchen spoke about the importance of preserving Tibetan Culture and Art and about Tibet being an Independent nation. Though the conference hall was big but still you could see hundreds of people waiting outside the hall and even on the streets trying to get a glimpse of Ven Thubten Wangchen.

Hundreds of people came for the diffusion of the Sand Mandala. Lead by Ven Thubten Wangchen and Gaden Ngari Monks through the city of Tortosa Hundreds of people walked with Tibet National Flag to the river where two boats await of them in which they took the Sand and threw it in the river after finishing the ritual.

During the whole festival people of Tortosa and around the world who had joined the festival felt in Tibet surrounded by Tibetans and Tibetan Culture. Lead by the Mayor of Tortosa and the people of Tortosa are sure that Tibet will be FREE….
