Groups planning march for Tibet’s independence

The International Tibet Independence Movement, the Tibetan Cultural Center and Indiana University Students for a Free Tibet are coordinating March for Tibet’s Independence.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. March 6 at the cultural center in Bloomington and will conclude with a demonstration at noon March 10 on Monument Circle. The end of the march coincides with the 44th anniversary of the Tibetan uprising in Lhasa, Tibet.

The walk will be led by Jigme Norbu, a nephew of the Dalai Lama, and Larry Gerstein, president of the International Tibet Independence Movement.
