DHARAMSHALA, Nov. 9: The exile Tibetan leadership and spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama congratulated the former Vice-President Joe Biden after he secured the majority in the United States Presidential voting system. Biden secured more popular votes as well as surpassed the necessary majority of 270 presidential electors in the electoral college.

The Dalai Lama in a letter addressed to President-elect Biden wrote, “I wish you every success in meeting the challenges that lie ahead in fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of the people of the United States and in contributing to a more peaceful and harmonious world.”

“I would like to thank you for your support for the Tibetan people, during your time in Congress and the previous administration, as well as for your statement in September this year”. On September 3, Biden said that if elected he will meet the Dalai Lama and his administration will not “turn a blind eye” like President Trump and instead “stand up for the Tibetan people”.

The President of the Exile Tibetan government, known officially as the Central Tibetan Administration Dr. Lobsang Sangay while congratulating the President-elect and his running mate Senator Kamala Harris wrote, “As you work towards the imminent challenges of restoring human rights, equality and climate change around the world, we hope that you will lend your pivotal voice to the just cause of Tibet and further strengthen decades-long US-Tibet ties.”

The Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile Pema Jungney also congratulated the former Vice-President on his victory and urged his support to raise voice against the deteriorating situation inside Tibet under Chinese rule.

“We are hopeful that the US under your leadership will re-energise the international efforts to resolve the issue of Tibet amicably with China based on the Middle Way Approach. We are thankful and optimistic of your statement in September this year committing to sanction Chinese officials responsible for human rights abuses in Tibet and re-assuring your support for the Tibetan people. We look forward to a very effective tenure under your leadership,” he wrote.

Former deputy to President Obama, Joe Biden has secured the most votes in the history of US election system despite the Covid-19 pandemic crisis in the US.

  1. Holding the Presidency and the American people hostage. It’s simple, he cares about his image too much to say he lost. Looks like someone is throwing a fit and he could influence the state assembly of some contested states to appoint their own electors to vote red. This is using loopholes in “the constitution” to cheat. No book is ever going to be relevant for all possible circumstances during an election. And as for Tibet, the President’s not meeting His Holiness at all during his 4 years says something. The President’s bank account in China says something as well.

  2. CIA has a known track record of election meddling across the globe. The Castro stories would make for a good movie. Perhaps some of the Kennedy clan can get involved? With Hollywood having a history of “black” and “brown” facing, perhaps even a Tibetan actor can get involved and play a key role? Especially since so many of the well connected seem to gravitate towards tantric practices without even understanding them. There is Panda diplomacy and then there is bedroom diplomacy.

  3. irresponsible and not smart do congratulate anyone yet as no one is certified to have won the presidency yet. The media doesn’t certify winners. Many court challenges are going on about voter frauds and irregularities!
