Tibet was recorded as an Independent country over 2000 years. It was in 1949 that the China started to invade and occupied the whole of Tibet in 1959 with forceful liberation. Since then, Tibet known as zone of peace was turned into a camp for mass military zone. Tibet has served as an effective buffer state for its neighbouring countries over many years. The occupation of Tibet by China has jeopardized its neighbouring countries, especially the security of India, for which has been a great threat and grave concerned to the Indian borders.

WHY BHARAT JAGARAN YATRA?

India and Tibet has the long historic and cultural ties and by virtue it being an immediate neighbouring country has unbonded relationship. Aftermath of the China s occupation of Tibet, Indians could not go to sacred Mount Kailash and Manasorowar Lake for pilgrimage and Tibetans in Tibet could no longer visit Bodhgaya, Sanchi, Sarnath and various sacred places in India. Since the occupation of Tibet by China, India has to spend 65 crore rupees every day to guard its border against over 400,000 Chinese military stationed on the border. The first ever-bloody war fought between India and China in 1962 resulted the 50,000-mile square of Indian territory under China. China s railway project in Tibet has far-negative reaching impact, not only in Tibet but also on India in its fragile and critical environmental situation.
