DHARAMSHALA, FEB 8: Noted Tibetan singer Phurbu T Namgyal has taken to social media to appeal his friends and well-wishers to inform him of any altruistic kidney donor as he struggles to find one. The social media surge of responses on Tuesday was filled with wishes of speedy recovery; the impassioned Facebook note by the noted exile Tibetan pop singer has been shared by more than 340 people on Facebook alone.
“Greetings, Friends and Well Wishers . . . As some of you already know that I’ve been receiving treatment for a kidney issue over the past many months. Due to the illness, I spent most of the last year at home, resting and recovering. My doctors at the Mayo hospital suggested finding a matching donor, so I am in the process of finding a matching donor. Some of the doctors I have, had not worked out due to mismatch and other issues. So if you know of an altruistic donor, please do reach out to me. Thank you for the kind notes and concerns. Many Tashi Delek!” the Tibetan singer known for his “Om Charitable projects” through which he supports financially needy people. There are currently 25 sick and poor Tibetans receiving assistance from his Charity.
The Tibetan singer is one amongst the most known celebrities in the Tibetan diaspora. His works include album like Jelyong, Sem Kyipo, From My Heart, Nyima Sarpa Sharyong, and Joyful respectively. He has produced more than 30 Tibetan songs; many hits have been recorded in exile alone. He now lives in Minnesota, US where he works in the Information Technology market.
