China prematurely releases a Tibetan man

DHARAMSHALA, January 2: Chinese authorities have released a Tibetan man before completion of his prison term and is reportedly in poor health condition.

25-year-old Guru was sentenced to one year and six months in prison on December 24, 2012 for sharing pictures of self-immolation and students mass protest with outsiders. He was first arrested in the same month but was later released when no charges were found against him.

Guru is a native of Rongwo Mikya dewa, Tsekhog region of Malho County, Qinghai province.
