Dharamsala, May 7 – The Central Tibetan Administration started the day with prayers for a more peaceful world.
As announced earlier by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, a worldwide simultaneous meditation or prayer for world peace was observed today. The members of the Central Tibetan Administration gathered in the main hall to mark the occasion.
The one hour prayer session, which lasted from 10.00am to 11.00am, was attended by the whole rank and file of the Tibetan administration.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama had designated the 15 minutes for a simultaneous worldwide meditation for world peace from 10.00am to 10.15am, Indian standard time. The program was scheduled in response to requests from groups campaigning for peace and solidarity on humanitarian grounds. The event was thought to have been observed by millions around the world.
