The European Parliament condemns the execution of Lobsang Dhondup

The European Parliament during its session on resolution on the EUs rights, priority and recommendations for the 59th Session of the UN Commission on Human Rights in Geneva (17 March to 25 April 2003) adopted the following Tibet related resolution today, 30th January 2003.

17a Calls on the Council, the Commission and the member States to strongly condemn-in resolution on human rights violation in Tibet-the fact that Lobsang Dhondup (age 28) was executed despite the appeal made by the European Parliament in its resolution of 19 December 2002 and the request made by the international community;
