Dharamshala, November 21: The 7th Head of Nyingma, Kathok Getse Rinpoche, has passed away following an accident a few days ago in Nepal. According to reports, the accident occurred in a village near Kathmandu.

He was the fourth holder of the Kathok Monastery lineage who was appointed as the seventh head of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism for a three-year term in January this year at the 29th Nyingma Monlam in Bodh Gaya. He succeeded Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche (1926-2015).
