Gyuto monks to perform at Glastonbury festival
Tibetan Buddhist monks of the Gyuto monastery will be performing at this year’s Glastonbury festival in Somerset, England from June 26 to 30. According to The Independent, Tibetan spiritual leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama has extended “full support” for the monks’ performance at Glastonbury festival, best known for its contemporary music.

Flash mob in honour of Tibet self-immolators
A flash mob highlighting the ongoing wave of self-immolation protests inside Tibet was held Wednesday at the Union Square in New York city. Over a hundred Tibetans and supporters held a photo each of a self-immolator and one by one recited the name, age, and their decision to torch themselves.
