Subject: Gaps in CTA knowledge about China
Oct 24 2018 08:22 PM

There are certainly gaps in understanding about modern China & the CCP by Tibetan exiles. One of the biggest gaps is with the CTA. For some reason, the CTA seems to think we can negotiate in good faith with the Chinese Govt. Since the PRC invaded Tibet they have forced His Holiness in exile, attacked Tibetan Buddhism, denied our people basic human rights & outright murdered thousands of Tibetans.

The current trend by the CCP is to verbally attack His Holiness, arrest Tibetans who revere the Dalai Lama, censor information going into & out of Tibet, and deny Tibetans any control over their local affairs. That is not the conduct of a govt that wants to negotiate for a peaceful solution to the Tibetan issue. And China promised Hong Kong democracy & autonomy & is now reneging on these promises. Why the CTA thinks China would negotiate in good faith & keep any promises it makes, is beyond me.
