Subject: Why did SA deny visa to HHDL?
Feb 10 2015 08:16 PM

I'm glad the DIIR Secretary met w/ the Deputy FM of South Africa. I hope she got an explanation of why SA denied His Holiness a visa last year to attend a Nobel Peace Prize Summit. I also hope DIIR emphasized that SA should not deny His Holiness a visa again due to Chinese political pressure. Many South Africans were disappointed & upset the SA Govt denied the Dalai Lama a visa to visit their great country.

Thanks to a petition launched by Tibetan National Congress, the Nobel Peace Prize Summit was moved to Rome and His Holiness was allowed to attend.
