Subject: Democracy in Tibet?
Sep 04 2014 04:47 AM

Congratulations to the Tibetan Govt-in-Exile on the 54th Anniversary of Tibetan Democracy Day. We Tibetans in exile are truly blessed to have democracy given to us by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

His Holiness' Middle Way Approach originally included a demand for democracy in Tibet. However, in 2013, Sikyong Sangay clarified that the CTA is no longer seeking democracy for Tibet and will accept Chinese Communist Party rule over Tibet, albeit with Tibetan cadres.

I am curious how the CTA can celebrate Tibetan democracy in exile while at the same time abandoning democracy for Tibet?
