Readers' Comments on "FREE RADIO FREE ASIA ! by Jamyang Norbu (Rejoinder added)"
In my last post I mentioned an instance of how Communist China was flexing its economic muscle to disseminate its propaganda in the USA, essentially through paying for pages of the China Daily to be inserted within the august recesses of America’s newspaper of record, the New York Times....

Ngabo Jigme is good person. But he is not capable as CTA expected him to do the services for Tibetans after sending him to USA.For me he is more care himself than our people on debat wise, speaking wise and diplomatic wise. I hope next one will be more reliable, courage and hopeful for our community.

Also, it is excellent idea if Mr. Jamyang Norbu, Brantwern, Uden Chen and few others will establish new Center Tibetan Administration some where rather than Dharamsala. That way they can preserve better Tibetan language, culture, tradition and much more. Let do it you guys are obviously heroes of generation. Ha,Ha,Ha and out loud.

Subject: Beyong the political thought.

The Middle Path process of negotiation is beyond the thoughts of politic. It is basically aimed at mutual benefit and seeking peaceful means of living. There is no wrong with this policy because it is relevent to the fact and genuine attempt to resolve Tibet's issue. His Holiness, CTA and prominent scholars around the world have put all their efforts to bring fruitful result. However, on the other side, JN, TYC and others have not found any platform to fight for independence so far. They have been pushinng innocents to fulfill their objectives rather going themselves into the battlefield. CTA is not a selfish organization. It is seeking every possibility of resolving Tibet issue by sticking on one mandatory policy. No matter, how long it took or going to take but it is a process to achieve the best interest of the majority of Tibetan. CTA is authorised to carry on Middle Way approche through the referendom passed in 1996. Therefore, all the organizations those who are only interested in Rangzen must leave CTA alone to do it's job and don't bother it. Show or demonstrate us something that we would follow you in future.

Dear Tibetans in India,

I have been following the Tibetan scene since I organized an SFT chapter and marched with Takster Rinpoche in the mid 1990's. Later I married into a Tibetan family, etc. etc. as the rest is personal history.

In light of CTA's goals and policy, I can only contribute my advice.

I strongly suggest Tibetans seek to LEGALLY AND ETHICALLY immigrate to Europe, Canada, and America. Then, develop INSTITUTIONS to preserve your culture in those free nations.

Exile life in India is doomed.
Tibet will never again exist without a fundamental change in -
a) the approaches and methods of CTA, and
b) a shift towards activism among the power-wielding population in exile (not a diss to the earnest efforts of the powerless TYC crowd)

Regards,

we need to be more practical and more specific on our respective approach. No matter what approach we are working for. This is not the time to say blub blub blub and zero practicality.

Subject: Still chasing the carrot ?or scheming for selfish reaons
Dec 01 2012 07:46 PM

As pointed out by Tsewang Norbu la, the Strousberg Proposal of 1988 was a lethal carrot that CTA has been chasing for 32 years on. Its authors, Samdong Rinpoche/ Gyari Lodi coterie took/required 32 years to realize and report to HHDL about it's futility. Gyari Lodi says he has resigned, but he seems to be manifesting in other forms.

2010: Enter Sikyong Lobsang Sangay.

Inexperienced and politically clueless, he fell victim to scheming and machination by the old hands. Madam Home Minister was seen speaking in stern terms with Sikyong, especially in getting her choice of candidates posted in Europe Donchoe. Ask any one in Gangkyi.

Now this: Akin to transfer of Tashi Wangdi la from NY to Europe , we have Jigme la being fired. Tashi Wangdi la( perhaps the most senior and respected diplomat then)had to face the humiliation of being replaced (through a Fax message) by a morally corrupt newbie, Lobsang Nyendark Zayul.Poor Jigme la had to face a graver humiliation that drew the attention of Woeser la. Where are we heading?

with the author's correction re the date of the meeting with Libby Lui, this now puts the matter into a different light. In the 1st account, the meeting with Libby, was in June, before the CCp visit to Dhasa. Now the meeting with Libby Lui was after the CCP visit. It is of serious concern therefore that both His Holiness and Sikyong were present at both meetings and leads one to summise if a list of demands was presented by the CCP in August that could have led to discussion in October with RFA about the continuing employment of Jigme

Subject: Role of Lobsang Nyandak

Lobsang Nyandak might be playing the most dangerous and dirty politics from a very comfortable office in new york. He was known to be the key dirty player under Samdhong Rinpoche during which it is said he got many people fired or transfered. He was thrown out of Gangchenkishong by chitue voting but it is said Samdhong Rinpoche before leaving rewarded him the fat post of New York. Maybe he is wolf to watch here?

Which ever way you look at this, no matter whom one believes Beijing is either orchestrating this or watching with a smile. It wasn't long ago that Sikyong issued stern warning to beware of infiltration, by unknowns, that would cause disunity amongst Tibetans in exile. Perhaps he ought to read back over his own statement. As for behind closed door meetings with Chinese cadres I cannot see this going down well under the present horrific situation in Tibet. Chinese are after 3 of the most important values, body, speech and mind of Tibetans.
