My prayers and blessings go out to all the young students who have decided to take matters in their own hands. It is time that the young Tibetan generation stands up for equal rights. The Tibetan youth outside Tibet has been very active thanks to the freedom of speech they enjoy in most of the coutries they reside. But not much has been achieved with regards to helping the human rights inside Tibet. But I believe that once people inside Tibet stand up against the Chinese govt with the inner confidence that the Tibetans living outside will be there to support them in every possible way, the Tibetan freedome movement will gain momentum and strength.

This critical situation in the history of Tibet can be traced back to 1971 when Dr. Henry Alfred Kissinger of the U.S. National Security Affairs had initiated secret talks with Communist leaders in Peking(Beijing). To contain the problem of the military, and political threat posed by the Soviet Union, the U.S. wanted to take advantage of the Sino-Soviet rift. I name this initiative to formulate the U.S.-China trade and commerce relationship as 'The Original Sin'. It was a sinful act that totally ignored the basic human rights of Tibetan people. No wonder, these school children have to now resort to these street protests to demand the right to form their own government.
