Katri says, “I am aware of criticisms of my busy travel schedule from certain sections of the society. But I will continue to travel.” Now, this is an attitude. Such an attitude of an elected leader does not bode well for our community (nation). I see Dr. Lobsang Sangya’s point. And I believe he has a point there. But he chose to express it in a language that is more suitable for a tyrant.

anjede is right. Travel needs to be productive and result-oriented.

Fehr says, “I agree! the more he travels, the more he will have the opportunity to spread the word and raise awareness of the situation of the Tibetan people!!!”
Fehr, are you saying that we are still in the mode of spreading awareness? It has been more than 50 years since we have been doing that. Are you suggesting that with all the travels His Holiness The Dalai Lama has been doing in the last 50 some years has not been effective in terms of spreading awareness? The chapter of spreading awareness should have been closed a long time ago. Let’s go to the next chapter.

I don't believe the issue is whether he travels or not. But that of how much he travels and for what result?

The problem is when he travels, the work in Kashag comes to standstill.

Much of his travels so far has been only for photo-ops. None have produced any results. There is no follow up.
