Subject: Money blinds all
Jan 10 2012 12:15 PM

Western countries care for business from the money comes not for humanity. All university or colleges in the West or Europe look for customers prior to real knowledge. They increase one year course into two or three or four just for money making. Students are forced to take so many unrelated courses which increase the length of study and university earn more money. In the end, most of the American, Canadian or European gratituded students become Jack of all track and master of none. There are thousands of courses introduced in university or college, they could be learned at work place without going to school. But for the money, system forces students to go school for nothing just to lose money or get more debt. Reality is that the Western nations are robbing their own children and it is the most shameless act practiced by so-called educated people.

Subject: American universities ignore China
Jan 07 2012 02:14 PM

China's authoritar¬ian regime has a terrible human rights record. During apartheid, American universiti¬es were at the forefront of the movement to boycott South Africa. Where is that moral high ground when these same universiti¬es make deal after deal with China. There was very little cost for those universiti¬es to divest from South Africa but now they are deeply dependent on these investment¬s and deals with China. The American economy and national security are endangered by these deals. Read more at www.china-¬threat.com

Subject: Hong Kong autonomy?
Jan 05 2012 08:57 PM

Katri Sangay lag says:

“For China, it is neither a constitutional problem nor an institutional problem. They have given autonomy to Hong Kong and Macau but not to Tibet because we are Tibetans, not Chinese,”

However according to a TPR editorial, Hong Kong and Macao autonomy are only temporary and will expire. If so, their autonomy has a different purpose for China and isn't a real solution for Tibet, since it's only given as a way for the PRC to get back lost territory, and then China plans to take the autonomy away.
