Subject: Why not Gyalo himself/or his son?

Agree that we are losing patience in the talk team led by Gyari. I don't think there is a next round of talk soon and even if there is one, I feel we can predict the out come: only humilation.

I dont think Samdong lama has a magic stick. As Kalon Tripa, he was a failure - as admited by himself in his farewell speach.

The only link left with Beijing from day one is Gyalo Thondup himself. Agree he failed in many areas- but a try is not bad. We are left with so little choice

So Gyari Lodoe la........you do want to remain as "Special Envoy" and be part of the dialogue, which is by the way issue of Tibet, but not be accountable to CTA ?
If you are suggesting that since His Holiness devolved his political authority so you don't have to report to CTA then your role would be to fight for religious freedom in Tibet and nothing more and I think Samdhong Rimpoche would be more suitable at that position. It would be best for you to resign to your private business of tour & travels which you well established during your tenure as special envoy.
