Thank you for your kind response in eliminating all the products bearing images of holy Buddhist script and images.. I am a Tibetan girl and I definitely liked your designs...of the Buddhist scripts and images. Its wonderful but it would be better if the scripts and the images were minted on the product like T-shirts and hand bags...rather than shoes. Religion at times can become emotional, and no one would let their religion mint on the shoe!
I would appreciate if you could take this project over again and try doing it on T-shirts...cap...and bags instead of shoes. and.. I dnt see anything wrong with our national flag being printed on the shoes...but the images of the Tibetan spiritual leader, His Holiness's picture and other holy images of Buddda...cant be tolerated..so, please be careful in the future not to hurt us but I appreciate your immediate response in correcting.
Best regards

This issue needs to be dealt at a higher level in accordance with the laws.We can not let this kind of belittling acts of arrogant wealthy few get away scotfree. They need to take more responsibility. They made conscious efforts to cash out of spiritual wealth of Buddhist faith without moral consequences. They made an attempt to see how far they can get away without as much thinking how millions of Buddhists around the world would react. They tried to take us for a free ride. And when they couldn't;then came chains of excuses followed by name blame games. It all may have seemed very convenient for them.No.Not this time. This is teaching and learning opportunity for those out there who may have similar attitudes and intends to take advantage of others. They can not get away without consequences. This was big businesses' big plans put into action, and not an oops I made a mistake.I am sorry folks, kind of thing. These are well thought, well planed-well ahead of the time before it all fell into action. They may have thought, perhaps,by the time they recall, they'll have already sold millions by the numbers with no loss due to recall if the situation comes to that.
Buddhist societies around the world should take this matter seriously and take it to the court to settle. This is too easy a game they played! They should not get away that easily.
The KEDS' president's apology doesn't even seem like he was even sorry because his company was caught.Let alone feeling real sorry.
KEDS president did not have the decency to offer a direct apology to His Holiness the Dalai Lama who is the world renowned head of Buddhist church. That's how arrogant these people are.His Holiness is all forgiving. He won't mind. But most of us are not His Holiness. We mind!We need convincing answers and not:I said sorry. Now what? What more do you want? kind of attitude.
Sorry KEDS company or whoever is responsible for this commotion! But your apology not accepted. Not as yet!Your apology did not have the soul to touch our souls. You need to do better.
The world is watching action, and so are we.

Subject: Hello Keds, the Shoes are still on display on Zazzle.com
Jun 19 2010 02:53 PM

Having read the apology letter from Keds Brand, I want to notify the so-called you that Zazzle.com still has the "unholy shoes" on display in their websites despite claims of its removal of such shoes.
Here is the link http://www.zazzle.com/asian+shoes?pg=12.
I, on behalf Buddhists the world over and particularly Tibetans, would unconditionally demand removal of such shoe design for sale on the website.
Please withdraw anything that has got to do with Tibet and Tibetan Culture and Tibetan Buddhism be removed at the earliest possible.
While it is money for a few, it is an insult to millions.
Weigh the matter and i appeal speedy action to withdraw such insulting shoe or apparel design right away.
Will be waiting and seeing...
