Subject: We are Tibet...Major_Retd_Rudra---

I'd like to thank Major Tetd Rudra for being an active participant of Phayul.com,and always offering heart felt suggestions to the Tibetan communities around the world.I couldn't agree with you more with what you have said in this comment column.I see many Tibetans and Tibet supporters knotting their heads in agreement with you.
Being an elderly Tibetan, what better news can I expect than the Tibetan educated youths getting charged with one goal and only one goal alone...to bring back Tibet to its rightful status.
What ever we do,we should not give up the idea of Tibet's independence how ever long it may take.We have no reasons to compromise our independence for a quick solution to our current situation.Today's Tibetan youths are tomorrow's leaders of our future Tibet. Therefore think carefully, think seriously, learn about Tibet's history, get the facts about our nation in the past straight, talk, discuss, form your own educated opinions that are not influenced by elders with blind faith and one sided opinions unless you truly understand and agree with them. That is so important.
One thing I noticed amongst Tibetans is that certain ones with certain ideas come very forcefully that any thing expressed differently may be scorned or treated as being against something/ somebody, and I think that's so wrong and so undemocratic. So if you truly believe in what you say,you should dare to stand by what you believe until proven otherwise.Do not follow the majority if that's not what you truly believe in and understand.Do a lot of research through reading, discussing and participating in Tibet related activities even at your own work places. And it's okay to differ in opinions. We are still learning as we work to struggle for our country.I hope from conferences like this-there will be born many wonderful young leaders of Tomorrow's Tibet.
So congratulations on the first opening of European Tibetan youth Parliament ...wishing you a great success hence forth.
We can dare to dream nothing less than Tibetan-Independence!!!That's our birth right!!! Tibetan Independence!!!

I am waiting to hear the details of the proceedings of this European Tibetan Youth Parliament. The Concept of "We are Tibet" must be based upon a solid foundation. Tibetan Identity must be founded on a living document that would express the aspirations of Tibet and its Destiny. The Cultural Traditions of Tibet are good but they fail to grasp the reality of Political Freedom and Right to Self-governance. "We are Tibet" must establish the Political Identity of Tibetan Nation.
