Subject: Feel proud to be a Tibetan !!!
Nov 03 2009 09:32 PM

After reading the article above, I realized why I always felt so proud being a Tibetan. It is youths like yourselves who have not even seen Tibet have such profound love with conviction for Tibet; ready and willing to take back what is rightly ours from the clutch of the destructively cruel regime like that of C.C.p.Youngsters like you all realize the importance of independence of Tibet for our true survival. To protect and preserve Tibetan culture ,history , religion, the list goes on; without some one else, above the Tibetan government and its people, dictating what to, how to,why to and when to run our country and our people ; except our own Tibetan people who will run the Tibetan government. If we must protect and preserve freedom in its entirety we must be free of China. For that we need to do tremendous amount of research about our country and countries that surround us.Youths of today have that chance.Do not miss it.Great majority of Tibetans who know how to read and write, often are not strong readers. We need to break that great wall of "no read" zone. The " GREAT WALL OF CHINA" is only good to keep the Chinese within it.Joke aside! we the Tibetan women are very strong patty business women; which is great. We need the money to survive. But we are staving with knowledge about our own country. We have very cleverly been piling it all up on His Holiness making it all his job and business, and not ours.Which is not right. But what else can we do because we do not know any thing. Therefore; what we can do to help...? Wallah!!! READ ! Those of us who know to read and write must bugle up and give some business to "BOOK WORM " and start reading if you are in Dharamsala,India ; or in the US which is where I am, half price books stores or amazon.com work great. Please read about our own country.Let us introduce ourselves to our Phayul.Twenty first century should belong to us. Let us go and get it!BOH RUNG_ZEN !!! Because without Tibet's independence, we will be still going out in the streets of Lhasa still asking for same things, equality this, equality that; never ending for generations and generations to come.It may or may not take long. But the end result for our struggle should be "NO LESS THAN COMPLETE INDEPENDENCE OF OUR COUNTRY".Therefore once again "BOH RUNG-ZEN ".

it was so nice to see the good job of sft in empowering our young tibetans with leadership skill.it is the need of an hour and as we see many of our young tibetans have alot of energy in devotion to our cause but something is lacking which pulls our yougster aback in international arena.so that is what i found as lack of self confidence and absence of well grounded and profoud knowledge on our own political issues.heads off to you and a continous training and creating wider awareness will bring a true change in our community and youths to make them real working towards the goal n achieving it.good luck and i always i appreciate the sft initiative on various field and its dynamism.
