So France pledged not to support Tibetan independence?

Big deal. At one time, France opposed Algerian independence but look at the independen country of Algeria now.

No one ever supported Kosovo independence but now several nations, including France, recognize Kosovo as an independant nation.

its a shame to see france, one of the major countries with such a great history, bowing down to china. their dignity and honour has been lost.
