Subject: CCP doesn't believe in real democracy
Oct 16 2008 01:42 PM

It should be made clear that the Communist Party of China doesn't believe in democracy in the same we it is understood in the West or in India.

Democracy means having a national government w/ an elected legislature and an elected executive branch. The CCP will never allow universal suffrage in China or any territories it controls, like Tibet. The might make reforms w/i the Party & the gov't but those reforms won't mean allow opposition political parties or genuine free & fair elections to decide who controls the gov't.

Zou Tianyong's statements are just propaganda to the Western media to deflect criticism of the Party. They aren't made in good faith & should not be believed. The CCP will say anything to avoid criticism, even lie right to someone's face.

The proof is in the pudding. When the Chinese Govt has national free & fair elections, a free uncensored media, and opposition political parties, then will I believe China has become a democracy.

It is so good to know from our experience that Chinese officials have never told the truth !

Tibet can´t wait until 2020 until this latest lie is unveiled !

Tomorrow should always be the target...!

Subject: Empty Promises
Oct 16 2008 01:56 AM

per Mr.Zhou, "Government should serve people and society" and "China will have Democracy by 2020" If you all believe these Empty Promises and words then you deserve what you get. Seeing is believing and I don't see any. "You may fool some people some of the time but you can't fool everybody all the time"
Keep the faith & Struggle. Rangzen!

Subject: China - A democratic state by 2020
Oct 15 2008 09:26 PM

I have been consistently telling the Tibetan Government-in-Exile not to negotiate with a "communist" China because they have reneged on every promise they have made and because their ideology differs vastly from ours.I have been saying that China will become a democratic country soon and that we should wait until China becomes a "true democratic state" in order to negotiate with them.

Now an adviser to the Communist
Party Central Committee, Zhao Tianyong, has today (Oct. 15, 2008) told the Daily Telegraph that "by 2020 China will basically finish its political and institutional reforms and will establish a democratic platform.
