As much as I applaud their motivation, I'm afraid these hunger strikes have not served much use in improving conditions inside Tibet.

All they do is make Tibetan hunger strikers weak & ill & we need strong & healthy Tibetan freedom fighters against a powerful enemy. It also uses up funds that can be better served helping persecuted Tibetans escape into exile & getting information into & out of Tibet.

His Holiness eventually intercedes when the hunger strikers get too ill and they always comply w/ His Holiness' requests to end the hunger strike.

Instead let's use our collective minds to organize resistance inside Tibet. There are ways of resisting Chinese rule w/o violence that causes problems for China & increases the cost (both monetary & political) of the occupation. When the cost of occupying Tibet outweights any benefits of ruling Tibet, only then will China leave.
