well i am not sure how the general public will react to this news...i was really embarassed last time about how things took ugly turn in tibetan community both in nepal and india about previous resettlement issue...now the question is who is gonna be this time??? poor tibetans , vulnerable tibetans , ex cia soldiers, self proclaimed chushi gangdruk clan ??? while the general public will remain in a confused paranoia i am sure our govt. servants will definitely be on the frontline to send their kiths and klins just like they did last time( 1000 tibetans resettlement)

Subject: US to become second largest host of TIbetan refugees.
Jul 20 2008 09:38 PM

TIbetan population in Nepal is assumed to be around 20 thousand. Many have left and everyone else want to move to ari anyhow because of the deteriorating situation of Nepal and Nepali Govt getting harder on Tibetans here.If this latest US bill materializes, many tibetans from Nepal will get chance to go,reducing the number of TIbetans drastically. On the other hand, the number of Tibetans in Ari is increasing each year, and with reunification of the family members it will get more. I guess there are 10 thousand tibetans in Ari with around 5000 in New york alone. So,if the present bill gets implememented and tibetans get to move to ari, in Ten years, the number of Tibetans in US, will ber over 2000.
