I had the honor of meeting late Mr.
Lobsang P. Lhalunpa in Mussoorie, India.
He was truly a gentleman.

In the press, they were kind words from
H.H. the Dalai Lama and Central Tibetan
Administration which I totally agree but
I am still baffled why this rare and reknowned journalist of East and West
wasn't offered the top job at VOA-Tibetan section.

I know this is a very difficult time for
his family and friends but I am bringing
this up to his students and young readers.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences
to his widow and children.

Sincerely,
Phuntsog Yonten, Anaheim, Ca. USA
