Since the end of the Second World War over 100 countries have regained their independence, why should Tibetans settle for anything less? I wonder if this American scholar would have agreed with a Tibetan advising his forebears to accept British rule and give up their struggle for an independent USA????

You so funny Mr. Columbia University somebody. What Mr. Hu Jintao says for public consumption and what happens on the ground in Tibet have about as much to do with each other my younger cousins preference for purple ice cream and an Eskimos need for onyx chopsticks. The CCP is interested in nothing except dominance of as many people as possible. It's so simple almost defies explanation. The "clauses" and "provisions" on some piece of paper some place in Beijing are window-dressing for a genuine, bona-fide house of horrors that the dictatorial Han regime as built that slowly and inexorably is determined to wipe out cultural diversity on as wide a swath of the Asian land mass as possible. Quit being nice, you *****!
