The Kashag closed down Budapest (Hungary) office. It did not have to close the Nepal office cos Nepalese government did that for us under Chinese pressure. A few years ago, it was about to close the Brussels office and incorporate the same into Office of Tibet, Paris. Now it has reversed the decision. Ok, it's your chessboard, play around. What Samdhong Rinpoche is trying to do is save money by closing cost, like it did with the Paljor units. That's ok too.

What are the objectives of having these offices in the first place? Is it to coordinate visits of His Holiness to foreign countries, to look after the welfare of Tibetans living in those countries, or collecting centres for greenbook money.

What is the Kashag of honorable Samdhong Rinpoche doing? Closing office, shifting it to a new location or opening another is not the solution. You need to have people with dedication. Our problem is not Geographical.

September 1, 2001, the day Samdhong Rinpoche took the reigns of Kashag, it's been almost 7 years. What have it achieved? And what are the 43 heads supposedly elected by bhoe mimang doing in that renovated parliament with a new look? As long as you have the power of Sarkar, you can do whatever you want. But I don't hope this Kashag or the present ATPD will achieve anything before their respective terms ends. Maybe it will have moved another office of Tibet to a different location by then? How about moving the South Africa Office of Tibet to Toronto?
