Subject: Detainment by the Chinese Goverment of Lhadon Tethong

I am terribly afraid for Lhadon Tethong and the other protesters after hearing the news that they had been detained by the Chinese Goverment. I hope that this event will attract world wide media attention and bring the focus of the 2008 Olympics under the spotlight and result in a boycott of these games by nations with a conscience.

Lhadon la & co.
You have additionally blown the spark of our freedom struggle & now the flame of it has reached globally. This flame will remain until Chinese regime openly admits their brutal aggression and occupation of Tibet. Many thanks for your courage and extremely well organized action. God bless you all.

2008 will most probably be the turning point as to the fate of Tibet. Therefore lets all do our utmost for the sake of Tibet. Lets be united & lets for once give a go till the end.

China's detainment of Lhadon Tethong, who was doing nothing illegal in China, is outrageous & unacceptable. It shows how much of a fraud China is when it comes to promises about improving human rights. It's quite obvious to anyone that there is no freedom of speech in China or Tibet. No one is allowed to dissent from the Chinese Govt.

China should immediately release Lhadon Tethong & allow her to continue her visit to Beijing unimpeded. China should also publicly apologize for its illegal detainment of her.

The IOC should demand China release Lhadon Tethong & offer a public explanation of why the IOC still backs the Beijing Games when there is no freedom in China.
