Subject: In spring of 1913, Mongolian troops defeated the Chinese army
Jun 21 2007 06:38 PM

Bogd Khaan liberated the country and announced himself khaan of Mongolia.
The ceremony of elevating him to the throne took place in December of 1911 and turned into a nation wide celebration, marking the end of the Chinese rule. Thankful Mongols granted the title of All Elevated Khaan to 42-year-old Tibetan and presented him 99 white mares and 99 white she camels according to traditions of Chinggis Khaan times.

In spring of 1913, Mongolian troops defeated the Chinese army on the southern border and advanced to Inner Mongolia, and were it not for the diplomatic demarch of Russian they would have taken over even Beijing.

The Russian emissary to Beijing urgently signed with China an agreement, according to which Outer Mongolia was recognized an autonomy and both superpowers consenting not to occupy it. Inner Mongolia however still remained under the Chinese jurisdiction.

Thank you TYC for representing Tibet in the IUSY Asia Pacific Conference and passing such a resolution.

To those who commented earlier on this article, please read the article carefully. The resolution accepting Tibet as an Independent state was not passed by Government/Parliament of Mongolia. This resolution was passed in the IUSY Asia Pacific conference held in Mongolia.

Like they say, 'the devil is in the detail', so read the whole article carefully.

It is discouraging that TGIE and His Holiness have not realised that Chinese dictators only want the complete destruction of Tibetan Civilization, and will never give autonomy to Tibet.

There is a historical chance to go back to our sacred Goal, Independence, during Olympics Games, which must not be lost.

If His Holiness is going to retire, as He says often nowadays, then the fruitless proposition of middle-goal must be abandoned too. We Tibetans want Independence from the terrorising China. We don't want to be part of that polluted communist country. We have our land; Tibet, the Land of our ancestors, the Land for our Children.

Middle-way, as implemented by TGIE, serves no purpose by aligning with dictatorship. Because it is simply a middle-goal, we want real goal - INDEPENDENCE, possibly using middle-way as a way and not a goal.

LET'S FIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY - An INDENPENDANT GREATER TIBET !
