First of all, I am not bashing the movie or people who made it. I think Tibetans need to make more movies(with messages to Tibetans everywhere) although funding is always the issue. So, it's great that they made a movie in Tibetan.

Now, the review here is exxagerated. I am not by any means saying this movie should be avoided but the reviewer is too kind towards the movie has only good things to say. I had tough time watching the full movie(I have nothing against the actors or the whole crew behind the movie). Have they tried to attempt something different, that is obvious from the beginning of the movie. Acting by some the cast is not believable at all(again nothing against them but I think most of the flaws goes to director because he/she is responsible for bringing out the best in their actors, shots, and editing and ofcourse the script).

I won't reveal scenes from the movie but some scenes are really unnecessary(hint - the kiss scene when the protagonist supposedly has a husband in the US. If this happens in real life with Tibetan, this is really Cheap). Anyhow, good try is all I can say with all honesty.

Again, I am not bashing the movie but I didn't agree with most of the stuff that the reviewer put up here because if you read the article and then see the movie, you will be VERY disappointed. Thanks for your time.

I feel so unlucky that, i missed an opportunity to watch your movie .Eventhough i was in New york ,i was unable to watch it . I am here to say that you both couple have done a great job . I wish you both could even work harder to develope some kind a sence of Tibetanism in the heart of this busy world .

so glad for Ritu and Sonam reading such a good and clever analisis of their wonderful work. It's a great film about exile and hope, a lesson of courage and inquiry - just the stuff needed by all to reflect on Tibet's future, on freedom for them... and for us, for each one seeking freedom.
