Subject: Wanning stage
Jan 28 2007 12:21 AM

The article justifies the wanning stage of Sino-Tibet dialogue. How long the exile government will be stubborn on its current policy of appeasement without apparent result. What is left now for Tibetans to do? Kalon Samdup recently made remark "hope for the best and preparing for the worest". But be hopeful is an illusion, until we work hard to deliver the hope and aspiration of all Tibetans inside and outside. Jamyang Norbu's latest article on Nangpa la, should act as a imptus for us to renergize the Tibet freedom movement.

Like many Tibetans I have the feeling that the Chinese government is taking us on a ride with no destination in sight.

There is lack of trust and sincerity on the part of the Chinese government side in solving the Tibet issue, which clearly shows that they are not interested in coming to some kind of resolution. They are buying time and fooling the Tibetans and the world public opinion in the run up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

China has fooled and betrayed us Tibetans many times in the past and we should not let them fool us again. History and future generations of Tibetans will not forgive us if we let China fool us again.

Subject: Substance of Insignificance
Jan 26 2007 09:24 PM

I was looking forward to see more substance in this article as introduction to the article states but was left disappointed.
It's still enigma to me and I am sure for many other Tibetans about the outcome of those five visits by Lodi Gyari and his team.
They don't even have name of any Chinese govt. official of significance to mention except for low level govt. offical who have no decision making power. It's total waste of time and only gave Chinese govt. oppurtunity to save face in world's openion of their dealing with Tibet issue.
I think that Gyalo Dhundup la made it clear by saying that Chinese govt. is not listening and they are not interested in dialogue with us.
So stop those fruitless visits and try to find new strategy.

To my fellow Tibetans, if you are still think that this so called delegation is withholding some significant breakthrough information, you are in for dissapointment.

It would not be fair if I don't say that we appreciate Lodi Gyari and his team's service to our govt.
