Best wishes for Kongno Tashi PhuntsokLa for his new job there.
As Representative here in France, he did a wonderful job, and it is a great loss for us to see him leaving his post.
Not only he had very good relations with paliamentaries and french officials, due tio his abilities and personality, but he managed to deal with the very difficult situation among the TSG in france, managing the conficting relations berween them and keeping a relative peace among conflicting personnalities within those assoxciations.
A risky and tiring job, indeed!

He had also the ability to maintain very good and lasting relations with all the tibetans living in France, specially Paris, inspite of the independant mind and not "law abiding" spirit of many of them, due to his charisma, and the wonderful personalituy of his wife, DickyLa.

As the third Tenjö here in Paris, he will leave the most vivid and lasting souvenir, since the first one, too busy with his own affairs, and the second one too busy with one doesn't know what affairs, have left without trace...

Mr Tashi PhuntsokLa we wishe you the best of every thing and we are sure that you will do a great work there also, as you did in South africa, and then in France.

Congratulations !

Another General Secretary. Welcome, Tashi Phuntsok la! What else we can do but welcome you, and to warn you through forums like this. Thanks phayul.com.

Be careful, Tashi Phuntsok la. Gendhun Rinchen will have already set all the traps around you. He will act like a typical power hungry politician -- he will overwhelm you with awe about the institute and act so humble. He is a good speaker -- years of politics and expereince. Whatever you do, DONT TRUST HIM.

Remember, Ngawang Phelgyel la tried to control Homes budget spending but failed because Gendun Rinchen sent all the people to Ngawang Phelgyel for approval, even small miscellaneous bills were sent for his approval, that resulted in long lines of people outside his office. Ngawang Phelgyel gave up this important initiative. Such is the deep politics of Gendhun Rinchen. The best thing Ngawang Phelgyel did is that he reshuffled the Management Committee and threw out some of Gendun Rinchen's useless chamcha's, this brought some breathing space for students and staff. Otherwise atmosphere was so intense, people were not even able to gather in groups, as if we were in Lhasa Bharkhor and Chinese spies were watching.

Welcome Tashi Phuntsok la, if you wish to serve this important position well then trust your own judgements than all of Jadda Seth's words, or those of his chamchas including Drugyal Tsering, Homes Principle. If possible, transfer them to Jhangthang, you will do Homes the greatest favour.
