Better late than never - McLeod Ganj received its first snow fall of the winter causing some inconvenience to traffic and pedestrians. However, Dharamsala is dependent on snowfall for its water, and snowfall is usually seen as a rescue from summer's water shortage problem. Phayul photo/Phuntsok Chomphel
A worker at a Beijing office checks stories and photos of the Dalai Lama on the Google China search (Google.cn) page. Google has threatened to pull out of China after a series of cyber attacks originating from that nation. This week the company announced it would stop censoring Google.cn and within hours it lifted its own self-censorship policy in China thereby allowing Chinese internet users for the first time to access "taboo" topics like the Dalai Lama, the Tiananmen massacre and the Falun Gong. Members of TSAM joins Tsunami Relief at New Kalpakkam
VCSS, Varanasi[Tuesday, January 18, 2005 11:51]
“At this time all our students are engaged either in their internal test or in the workshop organised by TCCR, but I’ll make sure that some of our students to join you in this initial relief work later all the members will join” said Mr Rinzin Dorjee, the president of Tibetan students’ association of madras { TSAM } when ask whether students in chennai have time to work in this relief project.

As per our plan, we start our day in the hot East coast beach of New Kalpakkam. With all the sport materials which we bought last night we went through the affected village.
Our first task for the day is to remake their cricket pitch which was deserted by Tsunami. First we felt handicape as we don’t have any tools to dig and transport sands form their old pitch to other place. Anyhow with the determination of the volunters we were able to clean the pitch along with the children of the village by using plates as spade and old colthes as cement bag.

When we finished the job we distribute all the sports materials to the childrens and start playing with them. What difference we can see in them is when they get cloths, basic

household goods there is no smile whereas we saw joy and smile on their face as we gave them sport materials and paly with them.

This day end with a mixed team cricket match. Infact some of our boys are playing first time.

We encourage and appreciate others to help the victim through any mean,be it financial or physical. After staying with them we learnt that they need a true love and care.
