DHARAMSHALA, July 4: A middle aged Tibetan woman has reportedly died after the bus she was travelling in met with an accident in Hubbali, South India. She was reported to have succumbed to her injuries after being admitted to the nearby hospital.

The Tibetan woman is identified as Lobsang Dolma belonging to the Camp no. 4 of Doeguling Tibetan refugee settlement in Mundgod. She was 32 years old.

A private bus she was travelling from Bangalore to Hubbali tragically overturned near the Agadi Cross after the driver lost control, The Hindu reported. Ten people who were injured including Dolma were rushed to KIMS Hospital where she breathed her last.

Due to the severity of Dolma’s injuries, doctors suggested moving her to a larger hospital, however she succumbed to her injuries, the police there said.

Doeguling Tibetan settlement in Mundgod in the Karnataka state in South India is home to over 13,000 Tibetan refugees who were settled there as part of relief settlement by the Indian government in the early 1960’s.
